The identity protection service allows you to protect your private or corporate WHOIS details. By default, when you register a domain, your registrant details are made publicly available for anyone to view. With the identity protection functionality enabled, your data will be immediately masked and the WHOIS lookup will return the domain registrar's info instead of yours.
